A sprawling 667-acre property along U.S. Highway 67 is now listed for $20 million, a sale that could steer development patterns south of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Known as Robinson Branch Ranch, the tract sits near Cleburne and offers a rare combination of highway frontage and open space in a region seeing steady population growth.
The ranch is currently used for grazing and recreation, but its location makes it a prime candidate for residential or mixed-use projects. With U.S. 67 providing direct access to both Dallas and Fort Worth, developers have increasingly looked to Johnson County for land that can accommodate new housing and commercial centers. Cleburne itself has seen a modest uptick in building permits over the past two years, though it remains less built out than suburbs closer to the urban core.
The asking price works out to roughly $30,000 per acre, a figure that reflects the land's development potential rather than its agricultural value. Brokers familiar with the area say the property could eventually support hundreds of homes, along with retail or light industrial uses. No buyer has been named yet, and the listing agent expects interest from both local builders and out-of-state investment groups.
For now, Robinson Branch Ranch remains a quiet stretch of pasture and trees. But its sale is likely to mark a turning point for this corner of North Texas, where rural land is steadily giving way to the next wave of suburban expansion.
